Quality Control?

Saffron house Company has the most equipped saffron quality control laboratory in Iran. This company’s laboratory is equipped with technological and up-date, modern facilities and from standard institute In laboratory of saffron house company ,quality control of saffron is done based on international standards of ISO 3632-1 and national standard of 259-1and 259-2 which include all characteristics and gradation of saffron. This unit for the purpose of fulfilling public requirements for a qualified and in accordance with national and international valid standards product ,after confirmation of quality control unit, produce and pack all the products in a totally sanitary environment and by using advanced technology and also utilization of specialists, experts and devouted employees. In this system in order to tracing the product better at the beginning a code is given to product that finally will be interpolated on the final product and hereby all the consumable saffron in every stage of product will be traceable and controllable. After sampling on every code some examinations such as determination of artificial color, moisture percentage, tota ashes, Acid in soluble ash, quality factor parameter by spectrometer device on wavelength of 257, 440 and 330 nano meter in the order of Picrocrocin (factor of saffron bitter taste), Safranal(factor of saffron aroma), Crocin (factor of saffron color) and so on will be taken place. Microbial tests also is done for no contamination control and to insure product safety in product stages, in the process of packaging . Results of all performed examination by quality control unit has been examined which the results of these examinations in selection of saffron supplier and promoting quality level of final product an finally supplying customer’s satisfaction has effective role.

 

Quality in Takchin Saffron?

The chemical constituents crocine (responsible for the color) and picrocrocin and saffrranal (responsible for the taste and aroma) are regularly tested and measured in all the saffron we process, so that we can guarantee that the contents of every package leaving our warehouses meet the specified criteria. In addition, all our saffron is meticulously tested and controlled for absolute purity and hygiene.

The purity, quality and hygiene desired and expected by the consumer of this precious product are not just a matter of control at Saffron house company but the policy, responsibility and plan of the management and personnel of all the departments. The product traceability system we employ enables us to be completely answerable to you. A reference number is recorded on all packaging, consignment documents, etc. for each individual order so that all the relevant information such as the origin of the saffron, test results and names of personnel responsible is available.
To us quality control means that we can trace the contents of every package we sell back to the field from which it came.

Lab Analysis?

Continental analyzes Saffron in its Labs in order to certify the quantity of some elements:

Pricrocrocin, which is responsible of Saffron’s taste

Crocine and Crocetine which provide the color

Safranal, which gives the aroma.

But Saffron’s quality is also determined by external factors, such as humidity, flower’s residues, foreign materials contained…
For these reasons, for each lot, we always provide Lab analysis documents which certify the exact quantity of each of the elements above.These analysis are mass spectrometry and spectrophotometer. The first analyzes volatile substances; the second analyzes Safranal, Crocine and Picrocrocine.These tests are the best guarantee for our clients that can always check the quality of the exact product they asked for.So we won’t give here generic values or ranges of values, but we can assure that every lot is tested in accordance to international laws before being shipped to clients worldwide
